You can capture that flavor and learn to can food right, while supporting FoodRight—a non-profit with a mission to reverse the childhood obesity crisis by changing the way our next generation eats through culinary nutrition education.
 
Join Master Gardener, Master Food Preserver, Registered Dietitian, and FoodRight CEO Lisa Kingery in this fun, hands-on, canning class where you will preserve crushed tomatoes and zesty salsa learning safe canning practices that are easy to understand and apply again at home. Participants will leave the lesson with a jar of their own canned-creations along with tip sheets, recipes and resources for preserving food at home.  
 
All proceeds go to supporting culinary nutrition education for low-income youth in Milwaukee Public Schools thanks to the generosity of the Boelter Companies.
